Position Summary
Provides entertaining and educational Martial Arts programs for our members. Teaches new skills to members to help them develop martial arts techniques while focusing on life skills such as respect, confidence, and discipline. Instructs safe, exciting and comprehensive Martial Arts training programs. Helps members develop, maintain, and exceed their personal health and fitness goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops comprehensive Martial Arts training programs to ensure clients are satisfied with their workout program and remain motivated to attain their personal fitness goals
- Monitors and instructs clients during Martial Arts training sessions on the safe and effective use the equipment
- Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting to assess and recommend Martial Arts training programs
- Promotes the Martial Arts program in order to build and maintain clientel and meet monthly revenue goals
- Completes all administrative requirements associated with each student’s training plan
Position Requirements
- 2 years teaching Martial Arts to ages 3
- Black Belt in a traditional Martial Art
- Experience running Martial Arts events (belt testing, seminars, camps)
- 1 year of experience recruiting students
- First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
Preferred Requirements
- Certifications/Rank in the above mentioned arts
- School/Dojo management experience
- Tournament judging and competition experience
- High school diploma or GED
