Position Summary
Responsible for the overall management of the pickleball program at their specific Life Time club. Coordinates open play times and manages Pickleball programming, including but not limited to, pickleball leagues and events. Promotes pickleball offerings and handles administrative tasks related to programming, such as scheduling, billing, and communication. Partners with the Corporate Racquet Sports leaders on strategic changes to the program and broader marketing efforts. Pickleball Coordinator may also teach on court, but those duties fall under the Pickleball Pro job profile.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates Pickleball Open Play. Estabilishes open play times in partnership with other businesses that utilize the gym space, schedules open play times in EXERP, ensures times published accurately to schedules on member website. Present at beginning and end of open play hours (as appropriate based on weekly schedule) to coordinate set-up and take down of nets.
- Manages Pickleball Leagues and Events for club. For leagues, organizes teams and matches, schedules in system, assigns members to appropriate levels, handles member payments and billing, and ensures scores/levels are accurate in designated league software. For events, leads event specific planning and execution.
- Updates pickleball club marketing materials with programming information. Promotes pickleball offerings through in-club marketing and specific communication with current clients. Partners with corporate racquet sports leaders on broader marketing communication.
- Participates in the system wide sales effort with Member Concierge team, ensuring pickleball is an integral component of the Life Time brand. Attends specific meetings related to pickleball.
Position Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- Thorough knowledge of the game of pickleball
- Excellent customer service skills, friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude
- Experience planning and executing events
- Comfortable working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members and team members
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills
- CPR and AED Certified within 30 days of hire
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's Level Degree
- International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR)
- Experience teaching pickleball
- Experience with Life Time's internal scheduling software and picklecap
