What are the responsibilities and job description for the East Bay Consortium APP Fellowship Program (EBC-APPF) position at LifeLong Medical Care?
Overview
The East Bay Consortium APP Fellowship Program (EBC-APPF) is accepting applications for eight candidates to apply for our 2023-24 cohort beginning this late September. We are a consortium between Lifelong Medical Care (Berkeley/Oakland/San Pablo) and La Clinica (Oakland).
Our program is a 12-month intensive training program for new FNPs, AGNPs, PAs who have recently completed their Master or Doctorate in Nursing, or Physician Assistant program within the last 18 months; our program consists of primary care clinics with dedicated preceptors, specialty rotations, weekly didactic training, and curriculum focusing on community health issues through a health equity lens and DEI and anti-oppression framework, and health equity curriculum project.
Benefits:

Responsibilities

- Unofficial MSN, DNP, or PA transcripts (Up until current date. Proof of graduation not necessary to apply.)
- Three letters of recommendation (combination of professional, preceptor and/or academic program)
- Personal statement (approx. two pages) that integrates and answers the following questions:
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following qualifications to become eligible to apply:
- Completed MSN, DNP, or PA program within the last 18 months
- California state RN & NP or PA license by the start of the program
- Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant certified by an accredited agency by the start of the program
- Demonstrated commitment to working in a safety-net setting
- Bilingual (especially Spanish) required for some positions
2023-2024 Application Cycle
We have two fellow positions still available for the program start date of September 25, 2023. One of the fellow positions available is for the Lifelong Ashby site with a Street Medicine component. The other fellow position available is for the La Clinica de la Raza site (Spanish proficiency is required).
