How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:
The Manager, Logistics position provides leadership and oversight of the RFG and Distribution & Inventory Services department, and all activities within assigned logistics locations. Controls inventory from production release through rad run, labeling/kitting and storage of tissue. Oversees the logistics tracking teams to ensure on-time delivery and receipt of LifeNet products to/from hospitals and clinicians domestically and internationally.

What you’ll do:

• Operational Management: Manages the inventory of LifeNet Health’s grafts and products and

communicates with the Planning Department to ensure effective inventory control. Ensures all stock items have been accurately updated / audited as required. Ensures the timely completion of cycle counts, root cause analysis and stock adjustments to ensure inventory accuracy. Analyzes production plans, graft distribution plans and inventory forecast and translates these inputs to provide adequate staffing and equipment to support operations for all logistics operations. Identifies and manages the development of new processes and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

• People Leadership: Provides oversight to assigned team by leading, guiding, and directing employees to be effective team members. Ensures that everyone is equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing their duties. Using the established people processes (performance, development, succession, and career) to ensure that their team’s level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards. Provides strategic and tactical leadership to direct reports with indirect supervision of their teams in a manner that supports the Company’s culture and mission.

• Shipping Administration: Oversees the optimal shipping and delivery of LifeNet grafts and products to hospitals and clinicians domestically and internationally, and assures the deliveries comply with all federal and international regulations. Strives for 100% on time delivery to clients with minimum disruptions. Develops policies, processes, and technology for tracking LifeNet shipments including but not limited to GPS, RFID and reporting mechanisms.

• Rad Run Administration: Ensures the timely and accurate irradiation process for LifeNet grafts including the packing of grafts for rad run, shipments to/from irradiation service, and packing of dose audit/dose mapping samples.

• Continuous Improvement: Creates, revises, reviews, and enforces policies and standard operating procedures for the Virginia Beach logistics locations that are consistent with GMP/GTP, AATB and ISO Standards. Trains and ensures staff compliance to all applicable SOPs. Processes customer complaints, non-conformances and internal errors and develops effective corrective and preventative actions.
   

What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):

• Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma or equivalent
• Five (5) years of management or supervisory experience
• Three (3) years of Supply chain management experience to include distribution, logistics, procurement or other related experience
• Certified Tissue Bank Specialist Certification preferred
• White, Yellow or Green Lean Certification preferred
• Two (2) years SAP experience preferred
