What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Irrigation Technician position at Lifescape Associates Inc?
Position Summary:
We have an excellent career opportunity for an Assistant Irrigation Technician servicing high end residential and commercial landscape properties. An industry leading water wise company, Lifescape Colorado is a full-service landscape architecture, design, construction, and maintenance firm located in Denver, Colorado. You will assist the Irrigation Department by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and monitoring all aspects of computerized, centralized, and large-scale irrigation systems.
What you’ll do:
- Learn and observe from Irrigation Technician
- Improve irrigation systems by accurately and timely completing work order repairs
- Test soil and vegetation to determine irrigation needs
- Map out areas for irrigation installation
- Dig trenches and install pipes and lines.
- Install pumps and electrical timers
- Conduct routine maintenance checks
- Tests complete irrigation systems for the proper functioning of valves and timers
- Locates, excavates, and repairs or replaces damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
- Assist in irrigation startups, service calls, and winterizations
- Maintain 24-hour on call status during snow season
- Special duties and projects assigned as needed

Experience/Certifications:
- Previous residential irrigation assembly experience
- Irrigation Troubleshooting and Repair (Preferred)
- Previous field experience within landscape industry (maintenance or construction)
- Valid Driver's License (Preferred)
Compensation Range: $40,000 - $45,000 plus OT and shift differential pay ($19.25/hr - $21.75/hr equivalent)
