What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Talent Management Consultant position at Lifespan?
Summary: Reporting to the Vice President of Talent Management the Senior Talent Management Consultant is a core role in the Talent Management (TM) group which is responsible for multiple talent processes and organization effectiveness consulting across Lifespan. The Senior TM Consultant will serve as a project lead in the design implementation and management of select talent processes such as competency (success factor) modeling success factor activation culture development initiatives leadership development programs employee engagement surveys performance management talent reviews and succession management. The Senior TM consultant will be the lead for the most complex talent processes. In addition this role will provide organization development consulting to senior and mid-level leaders to improve individual team and/or department effectiveness. This may include assisting leaders with team building cultivating learning fostering an inclusive environment and managing the people side of change or other topics. The Senior TM Consultant may also provide leadership coaching to mid-level and senior leaders if the need arises. This dynamic role requires effective collaboration with HR colleagues in Talent Acquisition HR Business Partnerships and Total Rewards as well as with hospital and clinic leaders. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills a proven ability to analyze data and formulate solutions and the capacity to thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Collaborates with the Vice President of TM and team to build the infrastructure for a strategic integrated talent management system at Lifespan; facilitates implementation of new programs processes and tools. Assists with the conceptualization and implementation of projects to activate Lifespan Success Factors in various talent processes: recruitment selection performance management talent reviews and succession planning. Plans writes edits and coordinates a wide range of internal messages related to employee engagement initiatives and leadership development opportunities. Assists with the coordination facilitation and execution of processes that support the employee listening strategy including but not limited to annual employee engagement surveys pulse surveys and lifecycle surveys. Expands leadership and management capability across the Lifespan system by collaborating with Manager of Learning Operations and Sr. Instructional Designer to co-create a range of development opportunities: training courses mentoring programs experiential learning coaching engagements video tutorials job aids etc. Facilitates in-person and virtual leadership and management development workshops. Scopes plans and executes assigned organizational consulting engagements. Conducts needs assessments by utilizing various research methods such as stakeholder interviews and/or focus groups surveys literature reviews etc. Completes quantitative and qualitative analyses to generate insights and develop recommendations to enhance individual/team/organizational performance. Provides informal and formal coaching for mid-level and senior leaders. Serves on Lifespan task forces and cross-functional work groups to drive performance improvement and innovation. Develops project deliverables: objectives plans/timelines communication strategy presentations; updates HR corporate and system stakeholders on progress of different projects. Translates project needs into budgetary requirements; participates in the development and tracking of expenditures and revenues against budget estimates for designated programs; advises Vice President of TM on need for line-item adjustments selection and purchase or lease of software external training consultants or related vendor contracts. Other duties as assigned.
Other information: Bachelor�s degree required. Master�s degree in Adult Learning Organizational Development Human Resource Management or related field is highly desirable. Minimum of 8 years of experience running talent management programs preferably in a healthcare environment. Demonstrated ability to actively collaborate and build relationships with leaders and HR partners to deliver results. Advanced consulting skills with significant influencing capability. Strong coaching skills with experience administering personality and 360-degree feedback assessments. Excellent verbal communication and relationship management skills. Excellent writing and presentation skills. In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs. Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities with simultaneous deadlines.
