ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Central Payroll team. The Specialist will support our efforts to process payroll for exempt, non-exempt, and fee-for-service employees. The role requires comfort around nuance and change with a complex environment. RESPONSIBILITIES • Administer the successful processing of the bi-weekly and monthly, multi-state payroll for 5,000 employees • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with LifeStance policies and in accordance with all federal/state/local regulations • Process payroll level data for new hires, employee status changes, and terminations • Research and resolve payroll related inquiries in a timely matter • Calculate and process payroll adjustments as required • Develop appropriate SOP’s and Job-Aids • Assist Internal Audit with periodic audits of various payroll controls to ensure compliance with SOX • Help facilitate payroll processes with newly acquired practices as they integrate into LifeStance • Other payroll operational projects and duties as assigned · Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions/updates as needed SKILLS & EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, or a similar field of study preferred · 5 years of multi-state and multi-entity payroll administration experience · Detailed knowledge of full payroll process including taxes, deductions, benefits, 401k, and federal/state regulations · Experience in healthcare industry preferred · Demonstrate strong Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, formulas, macros) · Knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow preferred · Proven analytics and problem-solving skills; ability to create adhoc reports from payroll system · Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required · Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail · Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States · LifeStance is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status · Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture
