Lifesteps is immediately hiring Full-Time Special Needs Job Coaches for the Butler County, PA area.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Job Coach / Direct Care Employment Specialist will assist people with disabilities in gaining competitive employment.
Job Coaches secure appropriate positions for individuals by assessing skills and interests; coordinating with employers to match jobs to skill sets, and providing ongoing, individualized support.
The job coach may assist special needs clients with job searches, creating resumes and completing applications and interviewing skills.
The normal work schedule is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, but may occasionally work in the evening if assisting a client who works that shift. The base location is in Evans City or Zelienople, PA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High school diploma/G.E.D.
- Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills able to communicate information to a diverse audience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and vehicle to travel independently between locations. (Mileage reimbursement available.)
Preferred:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Special Education, Sociology, Psychology, or a related Human Services field.
- One-year experience working with individuals with disabilities. This can include Direct Care staff, Direct Support Professionals, Residential Living Associates.
- Previous Job Coaching experience preferred
- Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP), or Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) Credentials or an equivalent workforce development certification. ACRE training can be provided by Lifesteps.
