What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech. position at LIFEWAYS, INC.?
- Perform preventative maintenance as assigned
- General building repairs (i.e. repair/replace ceiling titles; patch minor wall damage; paint)
- Maintain grounds such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse
- Requisition tools, equipment and supplies
- Perform entry level carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance and repairs
- Entry level operations of Central Plant Equipment, Fire, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Systems
- Entry level wet and dry fire system operation including fire response protocols
- Ensure that work is in conformance with blueprints, specifications and standards
- Estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
- Follow safety regulations
- Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew
- Must be able to read blueprints, specification, submittal data relevant to maintenance operations including electrical/electronic schematics and diagrams
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to understand, interpret and respond according to written and verbal instructions
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in building maintenance or specific related trade required
- Valid driver’s license
