Important: This is a desk job. You will be working as a liaison between the practitioner and the patient. There will be NO personal interaction with the patients, i.e. triage, taking vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, etc.

This individual needs to be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or have been a Medical Assistant for at least 4 years and interested in learning integrated medicine, which takes into account all factors that influence health, wellness, and disease, including mind, spirit, and community, as well as the body. The purpose of your position as the Medical Assistant would be to assist the Practitioner in the delivery of medical care and therapies to our patients.
Your duties as a Medical Assistant would include:
· Assisting the practitioner in their exam room as needed
· Ensuring that the practitioner’s examination room is stocked
· Answering emails and phone calls from patients as directed by the practitioner
· Maintain medical records in the patient chart.
· Ensuring that the required information is in the patient chart for the practitioner to review when writing a prescription for the patient.
· Following up on the patient’s progress for their practitioner
· Always Maintaining patient confidentiality.
· Assist the practitioner to run on time.
Education and/or Experience:
· High school diploma or GED
· Certified Medical Assistant & BLS certificate
· Minimum of 4 years’ experience at a hospital or Doctor’s Office
· Experienced with using an EMR
· Ability to write documentation and follow prescribed style and format.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Incredible ability to work with patients and make them feel comfortable and at ease.
Language Skills:
Must speak fluent English and have solid written and verbal communication skills. Have patience with the patients making them feel comfortable and at ease. Ability to pay attention to detail and patient indicators. Must maintain confidentiality. Must have the ability to respond to the most sensitive inquires or complaints from patients.
Physical Demands of Position:
Sitting/Standing/walking. Lifting patient paper charts. Typing at a desk for potentially longer periods of time. Answering the phone.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
