Lighthouse Hospice is GROWING! We are looking for a Part-time Massage Therapist to provide massage therapy to patients in the Cherry Hill area.
The Massage Therapist provides massage therapy services under the direction of the Patient Care Manager or Director according to the individualized plan of care. The Massage Therapist uses therapeutic massages to relieve pain, stress, and injury. The Massage Therapist assists to promote relaxation and improve circulation.

Responsibilities
- Provides massage therapy services to patients in accordance with physician’s orders and the interdisciplinary group (IDG) plan of care with a focus on a hospice and palliative care approach.
- Assesses patient for appropriate medical indication for services and performs assessment to determine effectiveness of therapy.
- Directs and aids patients through massage therapy interventions to assist with alleviating symptoms of anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation, restlessness, sleeplessness, pain, muscle tension, circulation, stiffness, relaxation, and comfort.
- Develops personalized treatment plans for patients that specify the type of massage required, problem areas and the frequency of massage sessions.
- Communicates with the IDG regarding the patient’s condition/status and progress toward goals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Massage Therapist with a current and active license/certification in the state of practice.
- One year of Massage Therapy experience required. Hospice massage therapy experience preferred.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
- CMS requires that all patient-facing staff, as well as those that are in contact with patient-facing staff, be fully vaccinated, or have a documented religious or medical exemption. This important rule is required for all healthcare organizations that receive federal funds through Medicare or Medicaid.
