Hybrid Role: TMS Technician and Receptionist
Local, growing mental health organization is seeking a compassionate and thoughtful team member to work with an existing awesome team. This role plays a significant role in the patient experience and with that should have the following knowledge and experience.
· One (1) year medical office experience, including assisting with medical procedures
· Experience working with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) preferred.
· One (1) year experience completing prior insurance authorization or ability learn in first 3 months of employment
· Familiar with different health insurance companies and credentialing process
· Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, or ability to learn new, complex software programs
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook), Mac OS X
· Use of general office equipment: multi-line phone, fax, copier, scanner, computer, etc.

This hybrid position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with patients undergoing advanced non-medicinal therapy while also ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all clients.
About Us
We specialize in the treatment of a broad range of patients in a comfortable outpatient setting. Our focus includes medication management and the incorporation of therapeutic techniques when appropriate. We also offer advanced non-medicinal treatments for major depressive disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultations and education to clients interested in advanced therapies.
- Schedule daily treatments and conduct TMS sessions safely according to protocols and prescription.
- Enter comprehensive session notes and communicate any concerns with the treatment team.
- Ensure a positive patient experience throughout the treatment course.
- Support marketing efforts for therapies.
- Answer phones and check patients in and out.
- Screen potential patients and schedule appointments.
- Track insurance authorizations/approvals.
- Complete prior insurance authorizations and assist with billing operations.
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve challenges.
- Provide backup support for TMS sessions.
- Ability to complete other tasks and fill other roles as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Training:
- High School Diploma.
- Experience with TMS preferred, but training is provided.
Knowledge & Experience:
- At least one year of medical office experience, including assisting with medical procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience obtaining insurance authorizations/approvals.
- Experience with TMS therapy is preferred.
