Position Summary
This position will work closely with Lightning’s Material Handlers and will coordinate work order planning and creation. This role is also responsible for inventory planning, cycle count planning, and coordinating paperwork within Lightning’s ERP, NetSuite. This role will also coordinate projects, creating efficiencies and coordinating Kanban set up.
Responsibilities
- Determine required materials and generate necessary work orders
- Ensure consistent and adequate supply of materials needed for production, coordinating with other departments to ensure production goals and timelines are aligned
- Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations
- Track production volume, monitoring customer demand
- Prepare cost estimates and performance reports
- Serve as a liaison for customers, suppliers, and distributors
- Other duties as assigned

What we require: (education, experience, certifications)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or related/relevant role
- Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management and manufacturing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in material management systems
What we prefer: (education, experience, certifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Inventory Management, or related field
- 4 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and experience providing IT support, including Office 365
