What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead - Peoria position at Lightshade?
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Communicate the stores weekly and monthly sales information
- Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Manager with employee schedules and assists with managing employee work hours and vacation requests
- Assist with the training of all new employees as well as the retraining of existing employees when needed
- Motivate and work together with employees to meet and exceed sales goals
- Assist with the administration of employee evaluations
- Inform employees of new updates and general developments in the company
- Participate along with the Store Manager in evaluating applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with Human Resources; interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications
- Help ensure that inventory backstock is adequate and help manage inventory properly
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established company policies and procedures
- Support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager by monitoring the activities of the store employees to maximize efficiency, minimize errors and respond to customer’s needs in a timely fashion
- Accountable for accurately utilizing Lightshade Point of Sale system
- Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, District Manager, Vice President of Operations and CEO
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- BA/BS degree preferred or an additional 2 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- 1 years’ experience in retail required.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must be able to obtain an Industry Employee badge through the Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division
INTRODUCTION:
The Lead is responsible for supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager with all aspects of store operations including coaching and developing the store team that delivers the Lightshade mission statement to every customer. The Lead is an Assistant Manager in training with the ability to do all functions, just as the Assistant Manager. It is essential that the Lead be capable of operating the store, should the Assistant Manager or Store Manager be absent for any length of time, and that employees feel that they can call upon the Lead with any issues that they may have.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
