What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Lilac Hedge Farm?
We are hiring staff at entry level for all delivery responsibilities for our home and wholesale deliveries. We deliver in nearly all conditions and expect staff to dress appropriately for all temperatures and weather conditions. Our staff are expected to be able to lift 30-40 pounds comfortably, as this can be a physically taxing job at times.
We are currently hiring for , part-time, and also on-call, year-round availability. This is not a seasonal position. We are willing to provide primarily "set" schedules for those that may need it, but flexibility in scheduling is also a plus for us, and if you are looking for occasional fill-in shifts, we are looking for that as well. Over holiday weeks we do adjust schedules (with notice) and require staff to be flexible with the changes. As an example, the week before Thanksgiving is a required work week (we are off on Thanksgiving and the Friday after) but work an altered schedule including the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Team players seeking to make a positive environment for all involved are encouraged to apply. Most of your day will be spent on your own in a delivery vehicle but we load vehicles together in the mornings and delivery drivers regularly interact with our packing house staff.
Those with outstanding customer service skills and an eye for detail who will ensure every delivery is done to the best of their ability is a plus.
