About the role: The Sr. Security Engineer IV is responsible for the scaling, delivery along with operation across the organization. This role functions as a security expert in many different spaces of security. Leading projects and efforts to implement or improve the existing security posture of Limeade. This role identifies and mitigates security issues, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations by applying their in-depth knowledge of operating systems, infrastructure, and cloud providers. The incumbent excels in fast-paced environments and can think like both an attacker and defender and can help contribute towards proactive and preventative security measures to maintain the security of Limeade and customer data safe in an evolving threat landscape. This is a full-time remote position.
Areas:
- Design and implement security controls in a cloud environment to protect the organization’s data and systems
- Conduct regular vulnerability testing and risk assessments to identify potential security threats and weakness in the organization’s infrastructure
- Identify and help mitigate security issues, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities related to cloud and on-prem infrastructure
- Address SOC escalations, including monitoring and analysis of security events and incident response
- Collaborate with other business units within the organization to implement security and compliance initiatives
- Utilize log ingestion platform for security analytics and identification of tactics, techniques, and patterns of attackers
- Contribute to the creation of runbooks and standard operating procedures
- Contribute to the production and tuning of detection rules
- Participate in bi-weekly on call rotation

Additional Responsibilities:
- Ability to demonstrate our values in an ongoing and consistent way
- Understanding of Security frameworks such as NIST and MITRE
- Scripting and automation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-team
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in cloud security, or system engineering
- A minimum of 1-year experience working with incident response
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation
- At least 1 relevant certification (CISSP, CISM, GSE, GSNA, CSIH, GCIH, GCFA, CEH)
What We Offer
- Base salary estimated range between $130,000 to $180,000 annually, depending on the hiring location. New hires generally start between $130,000 - $143,000 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets, relevant experience, and geographic location from which the role is performed
