The Role at a Glance

This position will perform and deliver on highly routine work for their assigned area(s) of responsibility in accordance with established procedures / guidelines.

They will be responsible for supporting functions within the Mail Services operation and will also provide routine mail services support services to internal customers including scanning prepped mail into electronic images within the Automated Work Distribution System (AWD).

What you'll be doing

• Accesses mainframe systems to identify contract number or policy number and company code.
• Applies foundational knowledge to processing all incoming and outgoing mail (USPS, Certified, Registered and Express) including researching, preparing and scanning documents into AWD.
• Collates and stuffs envelopes manually with materials for internal and external distribution.
• Completes mail projects for internal and external distribution.
• Conducts interoffice mail runs and slots mail for delivery.
• Delivers highly routine work and provides general information, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meets deadlines appropriately.
• Distributes output reports to internal customers.
• Follows Records Retention schedule for documents scanned into AWD and coordinates destruction upon maturity.
• Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards.
• Performs basic task / transactions related to common programs and services by acquiring core knowledge required for the role.
• Performs routine research within AWD on and resolves issues for internal customers.
• Performs specific data entry functions.
• Prepares documents for scanning, operates imaging equipment, and / or indexes the imaged correspondence via the Automated Work Distribution System.
• Processes agent mail and prepares it for daily shipping.
• Processes return mail in accordance with Compliance guidelines.
• Receives, distributes mails, and tracks incoming and outgoing express and ground shipments, utilizing vendor supplied computer equipment for shipping and tracking.
• Sorts correspondence by plan number, contract number or policy number and business area.
• Supports and promotes change management and / or departmental / enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Utilizes vendor supplied computer equipment (postage meters, scales and arrival system) for shipping and tracking mail.
• Works overtime as needed.

Pay Range : $17.00 - $20.00

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.

The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.

Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
