Job Title: Machine Operator
SUMMARY: Will support operations by producing machined parts by utilizing CNC systems.
WAGE TYPE: Hourly
FLSA Exemption: Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Calculates material sizes to minimize material waste.
- Sets-up various machine.
- Monitors quality of in-process work by continuous inspections.
- Adjusts equipment for maximum production rates.
- May have ability to edit computer programs and make as needed changes/repairs.
- Utilizes measuring equipment to monitor part specifications.
- Advises supervisor of any production problems and presents solutions.
- Assists the Quality Assurance Inspector in defining problem solving issues for reject reports.
- Assists in organizing and maintaining efficient work stations.
- Assists with any safety needs.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
- Reports to: Team Leader
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
Education and/or Experience:
Expected: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Electroplating experience
Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to read and analyze technical procedures, control plans and government regulations.
Other Skills:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and electronic equipment
- Proficient at using computer.
