Morning Shift - 6am - 2pm or 7am - 3pm
Security Officer will supply physical protection for all patients, visitors, students, and employees. The Security Officers will report and document all infractions of rules, regulations and policies of Lincoln Security Services, LLC, Federal, State, and local laws, and ordinances. Exemplifies the Lincoln Security Services, LLC mission, vision and values and acts following Lincoln policies and procedures
Responsibilities and Duties
- Patrols buildings and grounds including fixed posts, walking patrols and/or mobile patrols. Reports and documents any conditions that might constitute a security or safety hazard.
- Prepares incident reports. Obtains written or oral statements. Aids local police agencies during investigations or emergencies.
- Controls and enforces vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns in the Medical Center as assigned.
- Supplies escort services as assigned.
- Participates in property control procedures (accepts, records, stores, returns, or releases to authorized persons).
- Responds to emergency situations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous hospital Security experience preferred but not needed.
- Must have and handle keeping current Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC).
- Must have completed 20 hours security training as proven through a certification of successful completion of Security Training Course.
- High school or equivalent level of education
- Willingness to undergo a background check, following local law/regulations*International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (“IAHSS”) certification needed within six months of employment and kept thereafter.

- Ability to manage confidential matters.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, excellent customer service skills.
- Abilities Must be able to stand or walk during the majority, if not entire tour of duty and be able to withstand weather extremes for external assignments.
