Lead Turbomachinery Designer

What you will enjoy doing*

You will prepare and maintain 3D CAD machine designs of components, assemblies, drawings, and Bill of Materials as well as other related documentation per company guidelines and standards
In this role you will work collaboratively with other Designers in the design, detailing, and checking tasks within the group
You have interest (with Macro-programming experience) in developing automated CAD assemblies and parts

What Makes You Great

You have a BSMT Degree in Mechanical Technology with a minimum of 5 years of relevant design experience - OR - AAS Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience
You also have a high degree of Solid Modeling CAD proficiency (Solidworks/PDM experience preferred)
You are experienced in designing close tolerance assemblies and machined parts
Experienced in developing mechanical piping designs and related systems drawings based on input from a Process and Instrumentation drawing (P&ID) is required for this role
Additionally, you have understanding of the manufacturing processes and assembly techniques associated with machine design
You have familiarity with developing Bill of Materials, drawing releases and MRP systems
Further, you are skilled in ANSI, GD&T drafting methods, standards and procedures
You are capable of conducting tolerance studies and performing a variety of mathematical calculations in checking designs to assure accuracy and functionality
You are also experienced in working within an engineering group, effectively coordinating with interfacing personnel and/or groups, and providing timely updates to the Design supervisor

Hourly Pay Range: 29.57USD – 51.25USD
