POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the error free and efficient picking of customer and internal orders and delivering them to the order filling staging area in a way that they can be handled efficiently through the next step in the order filling process. Ensures customer needs and specifications as outlined on pick tickets are followed and met.

PRINCIPAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Accurately pick the items and quantities defined on customer pick tickets

· Ensures customer specifications defined on pick tickets are followed during pick runs

· Sequences pick runs by location to reduce travel times through the warehouse

· Selects oldest lots available as defined on pick tickets to fill order line requirements

· Clearly marks pick tickets with location, lot and quantity used to fill order line

· Place picked order lines sequentially on pallet to ease handling through the order filling function

· Places order pick tickets with the lead carton for each order on the pick pallet

· Meets or exceeds job standards for lines picked per hour

· Other duties/projects as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor and Operations Manager

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma/GED and 2 years warehouse experience

· Certified to operate order picker and forklift equipment

· Basic working experience with PC and ERP systems

· Working verbal and written knowledge of English

· Ability to work error free

· Ability to work flexible hours and or a variety of shifts
