Primary Purpose:
The Registered Nurse (RN) for Intake processes admissions based on admission criteria and provides direct professional nursing care to inpatient and residential patients. This position initiates nursing care based upon accepted standards, provides clinical assessment of the patient, and accepts physician orders for the admission. The RN will be able to demonstrate skills of therapeutic communication, interview skills, empathy, and a caring approach. The RN is responsible for ensuring an efficient admission process for new patients, while working collaboratively with outside referral agencies and facility staff. Provides exceptional customer service to all Lindner Center of HOPE internal and external customers.

- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Years of Experience: At least 1 year of Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing preferred.
- Required Skills and Knowledge: Mental Health experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current Ohio license or interim permit as a Registered Nurse. Additional credentials for special care units as identified in special care manuals. Psychiatric/Mental Health board certification preferred.
