What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Engagement Coordinator position at LINK Media?
LINK Media is looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to help us engage with our community - our supporters and donors. We need someone with experience in development, events, networking, communications and donor engagement. We're a startup, so everyone we hire is a critical member of the team, and must be willing to work quickly, accept that we don't have everything figured out, remain flexible, and above all else, understand that what we are creating is bigger than any one person, or personality.
Salary: $35,000 - $40,000 per year, plus benefits
What We Expect from You:
- Take ownership of donor engagement for all donors - small-dollar and major gifts - creating touchpoints, opportunities for additional involvement, and thanking donors
- Work with marketing partners to execute regular fund drives for the NKY Community Journalism Fund
- Develop donor and community engagement events to encourage feedback on LINK’s products, content, and mission
- Plan and execute regular Friends of LINK events in the community
- Develop and promote sponsorship packages for all LINK events with current and potential sponsors
- Work with our marketing team to promote community engagement events on digital, social media and in print
- Write and follow up on grants to support LINK’s work
- Attend networking events in NKY and Cincinnati to promote LINK and find new potential LINK partners
- Attend daily sales Work in Progress meeting and weekly sales meeting
Skills We Need You to Have:
- Experience in customer service required
- Experience in fundraising and donor engagement required
- Strong writing and speaking skills required
- Social media/multimedia knowledge preferred (websites, photo, audio, video editing)
- Comfortable at social, government, and networking events
