The Associate Social Media Specialist will manage our channel strategy, content creation, influencer partnerships, and build new audiences on current and emerging platforms. They will work cross-functionally across US Marketing and internal marketing communications on programs to bring initiatives to life in our social channels. Key Duties and Responsibilities Remain up to date on new technology, platforms, macro trends, and competitor activities to apply to strategic plans. Identifying new trends to spark new innovative content development for organic growth. Expand the fan base across the brand’s owned social channels by attracting new followers and transforming current followers into brand advocates. Collaborate to either create or boost presence across appropriate channels ie Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Identify, negotiate, and manage our influencer partners and relationships to drive growth and brand awareness. Devise unique ways to keep CONMED in the social zeitgeist and partner with influential individuals to drive efficacy. Assist in the development and deploy social media strategy. Contribute to 360 market campaigns that have a high impact in social channels. Build and develop a strong internal and external partners across social community management, and creative development. Manage Conmed.com product information assuring the most up to date information is displayed. Standardize tracking, tools, and measurement methodologies. Partner with Ortho product managers/subject matter experts to shape the story for content creation Collaborate with cross functional experts and work in alignment with CONMED’s corporate social strategy Follow and drive CONMED marketing approval process to ensure brand continuity and compliance Proactive content planning and content creation with product managers, in alignment with orthopedics commercial goals. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in New Media, Public Relations, Business Communications, Marketing, or related discipline 1 years of professional social media marketing or digital media specialist experience. Preferred Experience 1 year design experience preferred. Experience in orthopedic or medical device marketing. Advanced knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, resources, and communities. Well versed in the digital landscape and emerging platforms. Hands-on experience with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Conversant in social analytics, social listening, and automation tools. Copywriting experience, particularly in social media storytelling. Broad experience including brand identity, art direction, content strategy and development, video and paid social media.
