  • Summary/Objective:

    Information Technologies is a critical part of Lippert’s ability to be flexible to customer demands and information needs of associates.  This position will have the ability to document processes, recommendations and developmental specifications.  Also communicate application development status to department managers.  This position will also have the ability to lead medium to large system development projects, and directly manage programmers, programmer analysts and senior programmer analysts.  This position will be responsible for creating and managing the Application budget.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and document process flows
  • Maintain project timelines, schedules and oversees development standards, and reviews requirements
  • Prepare department budget, recommends technical training for department and recommends/justifies new hardware and software
  • Achieve required resource management yields or results
  • Delegate, control costs and address personnel issues and concerns
  • Set objectives for associates, create a productive team environment and develop team members knowledge, skills and talents
  • Plan strategically, anticipate problems and identify solutions
  • Work in close cooperation with other managers, regularly communicated project status to other IT associates and affected parties in company and represents the Applications department
  • Manage outside contractors and uphold positive relationships
  • Establish and manage to the Applications budget
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • May sit for several hours at a time.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.
  • Qualifications:

  • Work Experience:  8 years of experience in business process mapping and application analysis and design
  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with emphasis in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS)
  • Computer Skills: Proficient when working within SDLC processes, programming languages, hardware and software; advanced test and debug knowledge
  • Organization Skills: Excellent organizational skills
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; engages and builds effective relationships across the organization; provides excellent internal and external customer service
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    This position will lead a team of applications and systems admins.

    Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.

    Travel:

    Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

    Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Education: MBA in MIS, Computer Science, CIS or related field
