The Continous Improvement Engineer is responsible for:
The Manufacturing Engineers primary responsibilities are focused on supporting manufacturing processes and equipment to improve and maintain production safety, quality, and productivity.
Day-to-day, you can find yourself working on:
- Hands on troubleshooting and process evaluation with completion of related documentation and procedures for accuracy.
- Generate and maintain injection molding, tooling, and assembly related process documentation as improvements and changes are made.
- Research and evaluate continuous improvement suggestions in areas of molding, raw materials, tooling, assembly, and support equipment, including part containment and scrap reduction projects.
- Research product discrepancy root cause and corrective action for received product rejects (internal and customer complaints/concerns), supply Quality department with appropriate findings to submit to customer(s).
- Ensure cleanroom monitoring is followed, troubleshoot and address issues with contamination or particle count failures, maintain calibration of instruments and sensors, coordinate certification activities for cleanrooms and cleanroom enclosures.
- Review and approve molding machine robot programs created by technicians and maintain program document control of the same.
- Support tooling and process troubleshooting, and drive problem solving with suppliers and internal workstreams.
Who you are:
- Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in manufacturing with general understanding of plastics engineering, injection mold design & construction and injection mold processing is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in providing technical engineering support in a regulated industry is preferred. Experience with injection molding and/or high-speed assembly operations or related plastics industry experience highly preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field required. Lean, 6 Sigma, or related experience/training.
