Applies finishes in accordance with an established sequence of operations per drawings, specifications and requirements. Essential Duties: Understand paint process Part prep: metal cleaning, sanding substrate Filler: cracks, dents, scratches Masking Spray gun cleaning Spray gun adjustment: spray patter Spraying: primes, etching, paint, stain Sanding defects: runs, fish eyes, primers Filler: bondo, wood Understand gun setup and equipment knowledge Comfortable with all in house paints: auto, chrome, pearls Rework techniques: masking, blending, buffing, resurfacing, advance bondo filler, primers Wet sanding Setup all guns in-house: pressure pots Substrate knowledge Maintain all paint booths and work areas, keep clean and organized Handle and dispose of paint, stain and other chemicals according to established procedures Monitor and maintain all time sensitive details and processes Calculate amount of materials and time required for each project Attention to detail Understand drawings Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance Other duties as assigned Able to lift 50 lbs
