PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing education, training, and support, both on and off site to individuals enrolled in the Employee Development Services Program (EDS). The position requires teaching in a classroom setting, and supporting program participants at community volunteer, job shadowing, and work experience (enclave) sites. The purpose is to provide the education and training necessary to advance EDS individuals into integrated community employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED required. One-year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Ability to work with and effectively provide directions to people with disabilities. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, clients, and the community. Good written and verbal communication skills are required. Comply with Little City Drivers Requirements for the Active Drivers List. Pace eligibility/certification required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to sitting for prolonged periods; frequently walks, stands, grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Extended use of computer and typing is required. The employee frequently is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working and handling office equipment. The employee is subject to assist and supports up to 25 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a reoccurring basis. The employee is required to have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate office equipment. No occupational exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases or other potentially infectious substances (Category I). Typical office environment.
