Job Posting for Engineering Manager at Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority
Responsible for planning, scheduling, designing, technical review, contract administration, and inspection of reclamation facility and conveyance improvements. Participates in long-range developmental projections as required for budgeting and funding operations. Supervises personnel in a manner consistent with utility policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
Identifies required improvements to conveyance and reclamation facilities.
Assists in the formation and administration of policies used to protect the interests of the utility and the rate-payers.
Oversees engineering design and construction administration services for asset renewal and for improvements and extensions generated by in-house personnel and for subcontracted engineering firms.
Supervises project team members including individual project performance reviews.
Provides engineering technical support to any or all departments as required.
Works with funding agencies to fulfill application requirements.
Oversees procedures to maintain accurate records of improvements and/or changes to assets.
Qualifications
B.S. degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in design and construction of municipal water/wastewater improvements.
3 years supervisory experience.
Ability to supervise, communicate, motivate, and lead project team members.
Ability to work with consultants and staff on capital improvement plans and facility upgrades while observing regulatory requirements.
Ability to plan, design, and administer collection system and facility improvement projects, especially with regard to hydraulic capacity and wet weather events.
Ability to schedule tasks from various other departments as required to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing with government agencies, consulting engineers, contractors, and the general public.
Ability to prepare clear, concise reports.
Ability to make presentations to LRW staff, regulatory agencies, city officials, and the public as required.
Ability to document programs and procedures.
Ability to schedule projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to proofread and edit.
Ability to read maps and construction plans.
Ability to obtain and maintain Arkansas driver’s license.
