We are family-owned and based in Rockwall, Texas. Nothing makes us happier than to help our patrons enjoy the venue as much as we do! Whether making weddings vows before God and man, celebrating a graduation or remembering a loved one - we strive to make the time at the venue excellent. Little Wren Weddings and Events hosts 80-130 events a year.
Little Wren Weddings and Events is hiring Venue Hosts
The role of Venue Host is critical to the success and safety of each event. The Event Host works with the Venue Manager to oversee all aspects of the venue during events, ensuring patrons have an excellent experience at Little Wren.

Event Host Duties and Responsibilities.
Most events take place on weekends, so the ability to work weekends and nights is required.
Pre-Event
Arrive pre-event to help set up venue / tables, chairs etc.
Pre-event grounds sweep for trash / things out of sorts /
Pre-event reception area/chapel sweep to check for window smudges, bathroom supplies, clean floors etc.
During Event
Greet Bride/Event Host/Vendors
Answer questions / reinforce venue rules with respect to bridal party / event host set up.
Have confidence to respectfully address issues with vendors or guests.
Check sound levels throughout the evening to ensure noise does not exceed legal limit.
Check the restrooms , suites, and grounds to assure a clean environment.
Ensure agreed upon rules and timelines are being abided by (Example - Last Call is at 10pm.)
Interact with individuals who have questions or concerns about the venue or event.
Contact Venue Manager or Ownership at once when problems occur beyond your ability to handle.
Oversee send off /end of event if necessary (sparklers)
Post Event
End of event venue sweep of all rooms to make sure they are clear of personal belongings.
Bid farewell to the guests upon completion of each event.
Take out trash
Clean floors and bathrooms
Move tables and chairs as needed
Ensure venue is ready for the next day
Job Overview and Requirements
- Location: Rockwall Texas
Job Hours: Flex Schedule * Part Time
Pay: Hourly plus bonus and incentives - independent contractor (Form 1099)
- Required Education: Applicable Work History and/or College Education
- Required Experience: 1 year preferred
- Certifications: TABC is not required but helpful
- Physical Requirements:
Able to stand/walk grounds
Able to set up and take down tables and chairs,
Able to clean/mop pre & post events as needed.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
