The Role:
As a Zero Waste Captain you will be the driving force behind Zero waste through sorting and educating others, and taking our sustainability program to a new level.
Job Functions:
- Assist in the post-show sorting process of all recycling, composting, and landfill materials.
- Assist fellow Band Members in understanding their role in achieving the venue’s sustainability goals.
- Assist with employee engagement programs like the water bottle refill punch cards, post show sorting giveaways, and new ideas.
- Engage fans and encourage them to participate in our sustainability programs through activities and education.
- Participate in Zero Waste Captain Training.
Qualifications:
- Position requires you to spend 90% of your time walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and carrying 50lbs and about 65% of your time sorting materials.
- Must be able to work well with other people/departments.
- Experience in events/Zero Waste events is a plus.
- A positive attitude
- Creative thinking and problem solving.
- A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
Must be 16 years or older (Work permit is required)
