Position: General Manager

Department: Management

Status: Full Time – Salaried Position

We are opening our biggest and most exciting theater location to date in Indianapolis and we need the best talent to help us be exceptional in every way.

The General Manager holds the primary responsibility for all-thing’s operational. In a nutshell this includes, but is not limited to: maintaining a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff, scheduling, training and supervision of staff, coordinating with the Head Chef concerning all food needs, adhering to and maintaining company policies, publication of showtimes, payroll accuracy and submission, weekly messaging, poster, and signage changeover, cash management / audits, end of day reports, projector / equipment maintenance, staff performance evaluations, general filing and other administrative duties, managing food (in tandem with the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager) and labor costs, facilitating regular staff meetings and most of all; ensuring that our guests have the best experience possible.

Living (Room) on the Edge - We were the first all-digital and digital only independent theater in the country. Our technology enables first-time directors and producers to distribute their independent films to theaters nationwide and expands the functions our theaters can offer; films, television broadcasts, music, and other materials can easily be shown in multiple Living Room® Theaters locations.

The Nitty Gritty

  • Previous management experience required
  • Skills with technology is a must
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Willingness to work alongside and support subordinates
  • Be able to support a professional and inclusive work environment free of harassment
  • Flexible schedule required including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to interact positively with other staff, vendors, departments, customers, and guests
  • Ability to work efficiently & multi-task
  • Oversee and manage operational costs
  • Ability to work the hours necessary to complete the job
  • Working knowledge of all company policies and procedures
  • Scheduling
  • Vendor management
  • Hire, train, and mentor staff
  • Ability to communicate clearly in a positive and professional manner
  • Strict adherence to daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines
  • Ability to oversee and complete ordering of beer, liquor, dry goods etc.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests as necessary
  • Other duties may occur as assigned.
  • Most importantly, this job requires a positive attitude, a commitment to excellent customer service, and a great team enthusiasm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
