Summary: The Transportation Planner II will assist Project Managers in a fast-paced, professional setting in the execution and delivery of complex transportation planning projects including multimodal transportation and mobility planning work. The candidate will apply prescribed methods to complete specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced transportation planner. A Transportation Planner II will manage tasks, lead analysis, and may work directly with our clients, representing LJA in project and stakeholder meetings. You are part of an interdisciplinary team that plans and designs multimodal transportation infrastructure in a wide range of contexts from roadway reconstructions and streetscapes in highly urban settings to signature trail projects in suburban and rural areas that highlight and enhance the natural environment. The broader assignments we work on directly and positively affect our communities, and we work hard to encourage a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
General Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of advanced tasks including research and data analysis, creating maps, graphics, and other visualizations to support projects, and community engagement, working directly with our clients and project teams.
- Collaborate with colleagues from a variety of disciplines, integrating input from a broad range of stakeholders to create plans that lead directly to implementation.
