Program Manager - Alternative Energy

Lead and coordinate multiple interconnected projects, products, and other strategic initiatives across the
organization, ensuring these initiatives benefit each other and align with overall business goals and priorities.

Essential Job Duties:

• Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives.
• Manage program management throughout the program lifecycle, define program governance, plan the overall program and monitor progress, manage the program’s budget, manage risks and issues and take corrective measurements, coordinate the projects and their interdependencies, manage and utilize resources across projects, manage stakeholders’ communication, align deliverables to the program’s outcome, and manage the main program documents.
• Ensure commitment of resource and commitment to tasks/milestones by assigned team members and hold team members and management accountable for meeting commitments.
• Provides a consistent point of strategy and initiative alignment and must ensure that all team members understand the collaborations required to achieve the greater goal.
• Establish processes for management of changes in initiatives to ensure that initiatives stay on schedule and/or management approves changes that impact program delivery.
• Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement.
• Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.
• Work closely with project sponsor, SMEs, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop program scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, timing, and deliverables for new initiatives.
• Manage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
• Keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results.
• Identify key business requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors. May include work overseeing multiple, interrelated projects (including business transformation projects).
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Alternative Energy:

• Work with Sr leadership to identify and develop alternative energy initiatives. Act as subject matter expert for alternative energy within the lines of business and drive sustainability & resiliency projects in support of goals.
• Study areas of implementation and usage of alternative energy. Provide overall strategic leadership, direction, and guidance for operations in terms of using other forms of energy for the purpose of cost savings measures.
• Develop ideas of enhancing productivity by using other forms of alternative energy as a fuel.
• Undertaking technical review of alternative energy and/or additional sustainability projects following agreed procedures to ensure a consistent and reliable approach. Act as liaison with other groups across lines of business as well with LKQ’s Director of ESG in support of North American and global projects, goals, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain strategic and sustainable relationships with key organizations, external influencers, and seek to establish relevant partnerships for optimal positioning of LKQ as it relates to alternative energy.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Not responsible for supervising employees.
