The position of Water Treatment Assistant at LKQ Bellingham requires a person who can work independently and accomplish tasks in a timely manner with limited supervision.
The job schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm, with frequent Saturdays and overtime as required.
Job Duties
- Safe handling of chemicals and hazardous waste (PPE provided and must be used properly)
- Operating pumps and filter units
- Cleaning the inside of process tanks
- Test solutions for chemical concentration
- Training in the operation of the water treatment plant
- Update and maintain tank log
- Ensure tank labels are up-to-date and accurate
- Maintain tank schedule
Compensation: $20.00 per hour you could be eligible for a retention bonus up to $1,200.00.
Physical Requirements
- Move up to 60 lbs
- Repeatedly stand, squat, bend, and lift for long periods of time
Required Skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to communicate with leads/management
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Situational flexibility
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Mechanical mindset and basic automotive knowledge preferred
