Job Purpose Summary

The Director of Brand Marketing, will play the lead role in Carolina Ale House’s brand positioning and implementation.  Reporting to the head of Marketing, you will own the creation and execution of the integrated marketing content calendar across key customer touchpoints (website, in-store, email, social, digital). You will direct all PR/earned media efforts, implement brand partnerships, influencer activations, and events, and support local store sales-driving initiatives. This role will manage agency relationships and coordinate with key team members both within marketing and across the organization to drive guest engagement and sales.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as brand steward and ensure consistency of brand messaging and activation across all channels.
  • Develop and drive the integrated marketing content calendar and execute across customer touchpoints, including website, app, email, social media, and PR.
  • Lead programs and projects designed to evolve our digital presence, including media programs, omni channel strategies and implementation of new emerging channels
  • Manage and execute email marketing programs from beginning to end, including strategic development, planning, targeting, setup, testing, and execution
  • Action on data from digital marketing efforts based on promotions, product, audience, and segment level to optimize spend and marketing performance
  • Lead programs and projects designed to evolve our digital presence, including media programs, omni channel strategies and implementation of new emerging channels
  • Partner with internal teams, senior leadership, and media agencies to optimize marketing plans, social media strategies and develop distinctive creative content to achieve sales objectives
  • Own new customer acquisition and reengagement strategies & performance
  • Develop all branded content for website, and work with digital team to improve the online ordering experience.
  • Partner with the field to establish sales & marketing plans to support local store revenue and catering opportunities.
  • Use advanced analytical skills to monitor trends, diagnose problems and surface opportunities.  Regularly track and report on key metrics and identify key learnings to improve results.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and drive team alignment on business objectives
  • Manage a team of talented, driven, diverse marketers who together create brand magic!

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing
  • 5 years of consumer marketing experience including significant experience with restaurants across multiple retail locations.
  • 5 years of digital marketing experience working with a wide variety of digital marketing campaigns; website, email, social media, and marketing automation.
  • Fluent in building and executing digital media plans, tracking results, and presenting findings to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated success with creating brand identity, leading marketing communications efforts including email, social media and influencers, team/people development and managing external agencies.
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team and driving results.
  • Ability to think big, develop a vision, gain support from various constituents, and make things happen.

  • Excellent relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing, creative self-starter that has strong leadership skills, while thriving in a team environment
  • Familiarity working with project management software and task management software

  • Works independently on several projects, requiring self-discipline and motivation.
  • Ability to work on-site at the LM Restaurants headquarters in Raleigh, NC and to travel to our restaurants 10-20% as needed.
