The LED Technology Apprenticeship simulates real world scenarios of LED applications which will be covered thoroughly. Successful completion of the LED Technology Apprenticeship will provide candidates with valuable skills and knowledge in LED technology, which can enhance the prospects for future employment in the field.
Completion of the LED Technology Apprenticeship does not guarantee immediate employment with LMG or the CoiL Learning Center's partner organizations as an LED Engineer, LED Quality Control Technician, or LED Maintenance Engineer.
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
- Recent graduates from a relevant technical program are encouraged to apply. This includes individuals who have completed a trade school or college program related to LED technology
- Experience as a stagehand or A/V tech for events
- Can interpret common terminology used on an active show site
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in software programs used for self-scheduling, communication, and other areas of productivity
- Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Can stay in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Will ascend/descend a ladder to service build, connect, and test LED walls, processors, and other technology
- Comfortable working in indoor or outdoor conditions with variable climates
- Expects to troubleshoot and solve complex technological problems
An LED apprentice will be expected to be present for approximately 40 hours per week for a total of 4 weeks with a start time of 8AM EST and an end time of 5PM EST Monday through Friday. The current start date is July 24th, 2023 but may change at any time under the discretion of the CoiL Learning Center due to some unforeseen circumstance.
Base Salary: $15.00 Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
