What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand Ambassador position at Local Kitchens?
Local Kitchens is looking for enthusiastic Brand Ambassadors to be the face and voice of our brand. As a successful candidate, you will be involved in increasing brand awareness and sales by promoting our Huntington Beach Local Kitchens store through both self-driven and marketing run community outreach and field marketing initiatives. You will work closely with our marketing team to help us hit impression goals and sales objectives through word of mouth marketing, in-person flyering, and by representing the brand at community events.
To excel in this role, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to understand and pitch Local Kitchens unique story and business model, and a strong self-starter attitude. Previous experience working in retail, events, or a similar role is strongly desired. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Familiarizing yourself with Local Kitchen’s mission, operations, and business model.
- Working closely with marketing to strategize community outreach and marketing campaigns.
- Educating people in the community on Local Kitchens.
- Making local connections with businesses, organizations, schools, and government agencies, through networking initiatives.
- Developing and executing outreach through flyering, social media, spreading word of mouth, and more.
- Monitoring and sharing community feedback and local strategic insights.
- Representing the company at brand launches, events, and community events
- Brainstorming ideas and participating in training and workshops.
- Maintaining a positive image of the brand at all times.
Requirements:
- At least 16 years old
- Valid driver license and vehicle to use on the job
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to adapt and follow instructions
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to interact productively with team members
- Prior experience in a customer service environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of social media platforms and tools.
- Knowledge of local organizations, community centers and events.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Sales targets are commission based with tiered bonuses: $5 per new guest with $50 bonuses for every 10 new guests.
- Events and marketing driven field work are paid hourly: $18-22 an hour.
