Summary
The Budtender is the customer’s first point of contact and therefore must demonstrate excellent customer service by providing our customers with; a friendly and welcoming attitude, quality product information, and a clean and comfortable store environment.
The Budtender should have a working knowledge of cannabis products, WSLCB rules, and a desire and passion to learn. Candidates must also be flexible in their availability and punctual in their attendance. We are open seven days a week and your schedule may include Saturday, Sunday, holidays, and alternate shifts.
Essential Job Duties
- Welcome visitors and customers by warmly greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answer or direct inquiries through proper channels when needed.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of strains, products, consumption methods, and cannabis culture.
- Advise customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
- Be responsible for sales and customer experience by maintaining a tidy, safe, and inviting store environment.
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
- Accurately process payments from customers, issue receipts, refunds, credits, and for cash customers, change.
- Efficiently use the Point of Sale (POS) system, handle cash accurately, and distribute products and materials in accordance with WSLCB rules and store policies.
- Follow store policies and procedures regarding opening, closing, stocking products, assisting customers, performing sales.
- Report for work on all assigned workdays and report on time with a positive attendance record.
- Other duties as assigned by Shift Leads and Management.

Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Experience in retail or customer service
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Must undergo background check
- Reliable transportation
