Requirements:
Experienced in the design of roadways and drainage for INDOT (or other DOT clients) with the ability to oversee and assist in analyses, developing calculations, and preparing contract documents (PS&E) in accordance with state and local agency requirements
Ability to direct a team of roadway engineers in the preparation of design and contract documents for transportation projects
Conduct site visits and perform other generally accepted responsibilities associated with the position
Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants, Department, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work
Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope
Assist with the development of letters of interest, proposal development and fee justifications for clients
Qualifications:
BSCE is required.
PE is required.
Candidate may report in-office, remote or hybrid. Indiana resident preferred.
8 years of demonstrated experience in roadway and/or bridge design and plan preparation on transportation projects for DOT clients, INDOT experience is a plus
Proficient in design software. Experience in Experience in Microstation and OpenRoads designer is a plus
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Traffic modeling, roundabout design, drainage design and/or highway lighting design experience is a plus

Work Environment
