5G Chief Engineer Sr Mgr

Description:his Senior Manager position is the Chief Engineer with direct leadership of the Advanced Communications team in the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) eTech organization. This position holds responsibility for the overall technical execution of RMS scope on the Lockheed Martin (LM) corporate 5G.MIL IRAD project which includes ensuring that engineering designs meet their requirements, and that engineering tasks are accomplished within schedule and budget. Furthermore, this position is responsible for leading the RMS Advanced Communications technical strategy and roadmap in collaboration with peers across RMS and LM corporate engineering. Finally, this position requires partnering with chief engineers, program managers and strategy & business development personnel across the RMS lines of business to shape advanced communications CRAD and program captures and thereby assist RMS business strategy and objectives. Travel of 10-15% is required, in accordance with LM travel guidelines and requirements, to support classified activities in the portfolio.
Basic Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of directly relevant technical experience
• Experience leading complex technical projects
• Demonstrated accomplishments developing 5G advanced communication systems and their constituent subsystems
• Excellent organizational, negotiating, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate on programmatic and technical topics with direct reports, executive leadership, suppliers, and customers
• Active Secret Clearance and ability to obtain a higher-level clearance in the future

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
