Description:Become a member of LM's Global Business Development & Strategy (GBDS) Transformation team! To help GBDS on this journey we are looking for a qualified candidate for the position of the GBDS Data and Analytics Strategy Lead. In this position the successful candidate will serve as the GBDS function's leader in advanced data analytics, data management, and artifificial intelligence. This individual will be critical in achieving the GBDS transformation vision of an insight-rich function where team members of all levels have access to data and information that is fit for use at the speed of relevance.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Lead analytics and data science contributions to high-priority, high-impact strategy analyses
  • Partner with GBDS product managers and product owners to envision and execute analytics and AI capabilities in GBDS's opportunity management, customer relationship management, capture management, proposal management, and competitive intelligence capabilities
  • Partner with CDAO to Align the GBDS data strategy with the enterprise data strategy
  • Orchestrate the GBDS data governance and data management activities
  • Advise product development teams on instrumenting 1LMX digital systems to optimally capture digital exhaust to prove benefits hypotheses
  • Support both vendor provided and consulting engineering teams to ensure they are aligned with the GBDS Data Strategy and they are following the roadmap and activities defined
  • Ensure the GBDS Data strategy and data governance objectives are being met and implemented effectively
  • Collaborate across the enterprise on data governance and data management initiatives
  • Lead and Mentor other team members where appropriate

This is a rotational position supporting the 1LMX GBDS Transformation Program. This position is expected to be a 2-3-year assignment and upon conclusion of rotation the successful candidate would need to compete for another position outside the program.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Thought leader with experience in Data Science, AI & Machine Learning, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and Data Governance
  • Proven experience presenting and explaining analytic insights to executives
  • Proven experience leading teams resulting in the successful deployment of analytics and AI solutions built on cloud technology.
  • Strong communication and people skills with proven experience in leading diverse teams and mentoring team members
  • Experience with business development, strategy, and competitive intelligence processes and data
  • Expertise in using data analytics to drive improved decision making
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in leading data architecture initiatives and develop transformation architecture for the project/product initiatives.
  • Experience in defining integration patterns, standards and best practices
  • Proven experience to demonstrate/present the data architecture to the leadership/executives, enterprise architects, and solution developers
  • Ability to convey technical information in a clear and unambiguous manner and share this information across key stakeholders
  • Experience with business development systems including opportunity management, customer relationship management, customer experience, and sales process automation
  • Project management, project planning, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Familiar with the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK)
  • Understand Systems architecture and application integration points and downstream impacts
  • Cross-organization collaboration and excellent communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $153,200 - $293,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $176,200 - $331,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
