What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Administrator position at Lockheed Martin?
Description:The Lockheed Martin Information Technology team at Bluegrass Station, supporting the SOF-GLSS contract, requires a Database Administrator for supporting Oracle, HANA, and Sybase database systems. This position will be responsible with day to day upkeep of the systems. In addition, the position will be responsible for patching, architecting, and troubleshooting the database environments.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in administrating Oracle, Sybase, or HANA databases.
- Security Certification (or another DoD 8570 level II or higher certification)
- Interim DoD Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a final Secret clearance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing needs while complying with RMF and SOX regulations.
Desired Skills:
- Oracle database administration experience
- Sybase database administration experience
- HANA database administration experience
- Ability to respond to inquiries regarding software and hardware operations and resolve problems
- Experience managing, monitoring, and administering database system performance/schedule activities
- Experience performing backups/restores of various environments, as well as archiving data.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
