Come join our amazing people on the THAAD program as an Electronics Engineer. You will be working with a diverse team in fielding a highly mobile defense system providing the critical capability to shoot a missile with a missile enabling the U.S. military to effectively and reliably defend the U.S. and allied assets around the world.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
• Production and development efforts supporting multiple sites including those engaged in electronics packaging, PWB/CCA design, integration, product manufacturing and final assembly.
• As a Certified Principal Engineer, oversee the development and production of an Electro-Mechanical Guidance, Navigation and Control product.
SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
• Drawing preparation
• Requirements/concept development
• Detail design
• Manufacturing process development and improvement
• Development testing and Hardware Qualification
• Discrepancy resolution
• Support to producibility, affordability, and obsolescence-driven re-designs.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Experience in electronics design, including FPGAs, CCAs or PWBs.
• Experience as a Responsible Product Engineer or equivalent technical lead capacity for an Electrical package.
IN THIS ROLE:
• You will typically have 9 - 15 years of professional experience for this role.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Demonstrated experience working with external vendors as well as internal manufacturing.
• Experience with high-reliability electronics through the product lifecycle.
• Previous or current Electro-Mechanical controls and actuator design, test or equivalent experience.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated experience with design and/or analysis of PCB/PWB, Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) or Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA)
• Experience or willingness to lead teams through challenging engineering and/or programmatic issues.
• Strong communication skills, and experience presenting to peers, leadership, and/or customers.
• Comprehensive and authoritative understanding of missile, launch vehicle or spacecraft systems.
• Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problems.
• Experienced at conducting failure analysis on Electronics (CCA, Unit, and System Level).
• Experience with flex, rigid flex, or RF.
• Experience with Guidance, Navigation or Control Systems
• Design experience using any of the major tools such as. Mentor, Cadence, Altium, or Zuken.
• Experience in failure analysis (FA) results of x-ray, CT scan, or cross sectional analysis.
• Ability to review PCB and Assembly Drawings complicate with Drafting Standards, Geometric Tolerancing, and change management release packages.
• Technical experience in full life cycle development of hardware including design, integration, and test.
• Previous or current responsible product engineer experience.
• Experience in modeling and analysis tools such as OrCAD PSPICE and/or Saber.
• Proven understanding of electronics standards and processes.
• Experience using CAD tools such as Creo.
• Experience in presentation, oral and written communication to facilitate effective and efficient interchanges between individuals, vendors, leaders, and customers.
• Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
• Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• DoD Secret or higher level clearance.
• Willingness to stretch learn new technical domains (i.e. thermal, chemical, structures, systems).

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
