Lodi is one of the first concepts to join the iconic Rockefeller Center as it reimagines its retail and hospitality collection for a new era. The all-day caffè stems from Ignacio Mattos, chef-owner of quintessential New York City restaurants, estela and Altro Paradiso. At Lodi, Mattos and his team draw inspiration from Italian aperitivo culture and the restaurant’s historic surroundings. Their vision is to create a neighborhood anchor, elegant and friendly—a place you can visit practically any time of day, whether for an espresso in haste or a leisurely late-afternoon cocktail on the patio.
The Dining Room Manager will assist the General Manager in overseeing the Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner operations, upholding the quality of food, beverage and service.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who is passionate about food and service. We are searching for energetic candidates who are both comfortable in a fast-paced environment and determined to provide guests with an excellent dining experience. As a Dining Room Manager, this candidate must assist in the development of a positive and inclusive work environment, leading in a hands-on capacity and striving to improve the financial and cultural aspects of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Standards
- Ensure excellent service is provided for all guests at all time
- Drive service standards for Front of House positions and provide continuous support to all service staff and actively participate in services as needed
- Work with Front and Back of House management to engage and educate all staff
- Ensure excellent maintenance and cleanliness of the dining room at all times
- Maintain effective systems of communication between all member of the restaurant staff
- Properly open and close physical operation
Personnel Administration
- Recruitment, training and scheduling of Front of House staff
- Ensure restaurant is staffed effectively to execute all service standards
- Ensure all proper operating standards are met and is a leader on food safety and labor compliance
Key Requirements:
- Excellent verbal & written communication
- At least 2 years' management experience in hospitality & fine dining
- Full availability - nights, weekends, holidays
- Ability to foster the education of FOH staff
- Ensure DOL and Department of Health compliance
- Food, wine, and spirits knowledge
- Ability to multitask, problem solving & delegation
- Attention to detail
