The Employment Services Manager oversees the comprehensive development, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of employment services. They directly supervise Employment Specialists and actively network with local businesses to expand employment opportunities and work experiences for clients. Additionally, the Employment Services Manager leads the processing of new referrals and serves as the primary liaison for Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

Requirements

Essential Functions


  • Manage the development, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the employment services department. 
  • Provide direct supervision to Employment Specialists, ensuring effective service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations to support employment initiatives.
  • Lead the processing of new referrals for employment services.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Vocational Rehabilitation Services, maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
  • Thoroughly review and approve all service entries in Accel within two business days of completion.
  • Monitor and track service hours to efficiently manage the productivity of all Employment Specialists, ensuring they meet required productivity goals.
  • Assist the Employment Specialist in creating daily schedules to meet billing expectations while upholding service quality standards.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities for Employment Specialists to enhance service delivery.
  • Deliver both formal and informal feedback to the Employment Specialist, including disciplinary action, when necessary, with the support of your supervisor and Human Resources.
  • Take the lead in interviewing and hiring a new Employment Specialist as needed. 
  • Coordinate and support the training of new and existing Employment Specialists. Ensure understanding of the importance of embracing a hands-on approach to job coaching.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve program effectiveness.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of employment services, making adjustments as necessary to meet program goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in employment services to inform program enhancements.
  • Attend training sessions and conferences such as INARF and INAPSE, which might necessitate overnight travel.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Quality Assurance to organize safety training upon hire and annually thereafter, ensuring continuous adherence to LOGAN's policies.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Quality Assurance and Senior Director to ensure adherence to state standards.
  • Achieve and adhere to CARF accreditation standards.
  • Complete and maintain all related documentation per LOGAN standards.

  • Ensure that all communication takes place in a professional manner, reflecting both respect for persons served and the LOGAN image.
  • Seek professional growth by keeping current on new philosophy, research, technology, strategies, etc.  
  • Develop and monitor the department budget working toward financial targets. Ensure proper documentation of services and submittal of all billing information on a timely basis.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS


Education


  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred for the position; however, candidates with experience in disability services specifically in the area of employment will be considered. 


Experience


  • Experience in disability services specifically in the area of employment is required.  


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Good interpersonal and communication skills necessary to build relationships with community organizations, clients, funding source staff and LOGAN staff.  
  • Ability to accurately interpret and consistently communicate policies and procedures.
  • Must have and/or develop working knowledge and proficiency in Person Centered Planning and Positive Behavior Supports.  
  • Oral/written communication skills to clearly and effectively express ideas.
  • Ability to plan and organize work activities/processes, use discretion and sound judgment and demonstrate initiative to ensure goals are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Must provide own transportation, have valid driver’s license and driving record must meet insurability requirements.
  • Must maintain and provide documentation of auto insurance at limits set by LOGAN.
  • Must provide record of vehicle registration.
  • Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification and must stay current on all other training as defined by state, accreditation body or organization guidelines.
