GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Maintenance Superintendent is a management position working in a high performance, customer-focused team environment. They are responsible for directing and coordinating all activities concerned with the maintenance for the machine. These responsibilities include training crews and performing daily maintenance checks to ensure that the machine produces quality results to all customers. The Maintenance Superintendent is also required to assume the responsibilities of the Machine Superintendent if they are absent.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assume responsibilities of Machine Superintendent in his absences.
- Train new crew members in the maintenance and repair of the machines.
- Train new crew members in the safe working procedures.
- Perform daily maintenance checks and help crew members recognize problems as they develop.
- Keep the Machine Superintendent and Assistant Manager updated on the condition of the machine.
- Keep work orders, suppliers, and inventories up to date.
- Maintain and account for all company property including tools and vehicles.
- Assist Machine Superintendent with daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Ability to travel throughout the United States and Canada.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/ Equivalent
Experience: 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to use computer keyboard and screens to access information necessary to perform the Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed above.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
