The Talent Acquisition and Development Director will wear multiple hats within the HR department. They will be responsible for identifying top tier talent, maintaining proactive sourcing strategies to support dynamic, and fast paced teams within the corporate office. In addition, the Director, TA and Development will lead and execute the training programs and individual development plans for corporate and retail employees to ensure the continuous development and growth of Loro Piana’s talents. This person is a strategic business partner to stakeholders and is comfortable to flex up and down within the role. Outside of the day to day they will work closely with the VP of HR on projects and initiatives for the North America region. The Director, TA and Development is the ultimate team player, is always willing to support its partner and can work in ambiguity within a fast pace environment.


Profile

Talent Acquisition

  • Build and maintain proactive partnership with management team in order to understand their business, anticipate their staffing needs, and offer solutions and tools
  • Lead full cycle recruitment, leveraging internal (LVMH and corporate) and external channels
  • Develop recruitment strategies for open positions for Corporate teams
  • Research, source, screen and conduct initial interviews with qualified candidates for all positions and schedule follow-up interviews with senior management
  • Identify key university and college programs to collaborate with to establish a stream of qualified candidates. Lead all employer branding and campus recruiting
  • Manage the recruiting process through the ATS (Lumesse)
  • Manage all pre-recruitment efforts in new markets: research and identify area targets, conduct cold calls to screen candidates for initial interest, network with management contacts, local schools, and any additional recruitment sources.
  • In tandem with Sr. HRBP support in retail recruitment when needed
  • Participate in all new store opening efforts as it relates to staffing and maintain recruitment timeline when needed
  • When needed travel to stores to proactively identify candidates in each market in anticipation of staffing needs
  • Manage reference and background checking process for final candidates as directed for corporate
  • Build strong relationship with LVMH counter partner always having a pulse of mobility candidates in the LVMH group
  • Partnering with the Sr. Manager, Compensation and Benefits define and develop recruitment budget needs

Development and Training

  • Actively participate in the Company Organization and Management Review, managing Talent Review, Position Review and Succession Planning.
  • Anticipate future talent needs as defined by strategic growth plans while effectively managing urgent needs and addressing open positions
  • Guarantee the development and maintenance of a dedicated talent sourcing strategy for the company Key Positions, leveraging internal and external channels.
  • Guarantee, liaising with the Headquarter, the implementation and maintenance of Individual Development Plan following guidelines and according to the priorities identified with the management team and headquarter
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with retail management team; schedule and conduct periodical touch base calls with Directors of Stores regarding staffing and assist with succession planning efforts. Support the HRBP
  • In tandem with Sr. HRBP support in the creating and development of trainings for the retail population both on an individual basis and collectively
  • Partnering with the Sr. Manager, Compensation and Benefits define and develop training budget needs
  • Management of The LMS platform, consistently promoting the tool finds ways to leverage
  • Training analysis and training offer for corporate teams

Other responsibilities

  • Manage and participate in on-boarding process for new retail managers; review hiring guidelines and provide tools
  • Manage onboarding process for corporate
  • Manage and maintain talent sourcing KPIs with the aim of improving the indicator from year to year
  • Manage the processing of any invoices/expenses incurred as it pertains to costs incurred related to recruiting
  • Lead the Diversity and Inclusion pillar within the CSR committee
  • Manages the NA internal newsletter
  • Reponsible for ad hoc internal communication for the region
  • In partnership with the HR team, create and execute employee engagement initiatives
  • Actively participate into the development of direct report, Office Manage

Skills and abilities required

  • 10 years of experience in talent acquisition and/or related functions within Human Resources; US market experience is essential
  • Deep understanding of the luxury market, client profile, and expectations
  • Experience of store environment and experience is a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • Ability to manage budget tools, solid analytical skills; able to use Excel to provide accurate and timely summaries related to KPI’s
