POSITION DETAILS
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Salary: $60K – 65K
- Salary is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons
- LPHI offers traditional (M-F, 8 am-5 pm), flexible (for example, M-F 10 am-7pm), and compressed work schedules (for example, M-Th 8 am-7 pm). Schedule details finalized between employee and manager.
- Minimum two days per week in office is required for this role.
- LPHI maintains an office in New Orleans if the employee prefers to be 100% in-office
- Employee must reside in Louisiana during the time of employment

About The Position

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Maintain vendor information and create new vendor records as needed within financial system
- Input administrative invoices for reimbursement processing and review of invoice documentation to ensure grant compliance for allowable cost within contract agreements
- Manage the entire purchase requisition and payment process in Sage Intacct, including scanning and/or uploading of all documentation to Sage
- Process check run in Sage and obtain all necessary approvals for check batch, save pdf copies of check batch, and distribute check payments
- Respond to inquiries on status of check payments
- Assist with preparation of revenue invoices for assigned program funds including but not limited to gathering & preparing all backup documentation
- Invoices are processed monthly, quarterly, or annually based on program rules
- Submit approved and completed invoice packets to program partners
- Review semi-monthly aged AR to confirm payments received and follow up on outstanding collections as needed with payors and programs team
- Assist staff with allowable credit card purchases and monthly credit card reconciliations
- Complete bank deposits
- Process assigned journal entries in Sage Intacct system
- Managed fixed asset roster and record monthly deprecation entries
- Support Assistant Controller with month-end close procedures
- Provide support to Assistant Controller and CFO for annual program and organizational audits
- Support legal team with contract management practices when needed
- Retrieve and process office mail
- Serve as a member of the LPHI Administrative Team, collaborate with team members to support finance and operations procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university plus three to five years of related experience required
- Three to five years of experience in general ledger accounting, processing AR/AP deliverables, compiling financial reports, and using multiple IT systems daily
- Ability to process transactions and complete account reconciliations
- Experience in analyzing financial data and preparing statements or projections
- Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office software applications (including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Hybrid Position – 2-3 days in local office per week (as business demands dictate)

- Experience in non-profit and/or grant accounting a plus
