BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to support the effective development and implementation of training programs and materials across the enterprise. The Training Specialist will also support other learning projects, initiatives, and events, as required.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement the curriculum and learning design for all training programs and resources intended for enterprise-wide consumption.
- Maintain existing inventory of learning opportunities related to enterprise-wide career development, professional development, new hire development and Love’s HR compliance portfolio.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to assess learning needs, clarify learning objectives/outcomes, and create and/or revise content for business-specific training programs, projects, and resources.
- Deliver group and individual instruction and training as needed to support the Talent Development team.
- Assists the Talent & Org. Effectiveness team and internal stakeholders on revising outdated learning materials.
- Adapt delivery methods to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of learners.
- Provide clear instructions when preparing key stakeholders for training delivery.
- Analyze the effectiveness of training programs against defined learning objectives and modify training programs to address opportunities for improvement.
- Research and interpret best-in-class learning strategies, methods, processes, and curriculum for developing workforce capability.
- Communicate effectively with management, stakeholders, and learners.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Human Resources preferred.
- Experience:
- 2-3 years in a learning and/or training development role in a corporate or non-profit setting
- Skills:
- Hard skills: Proficient with business software such as Microsoft Office. Foundational knowledge of adult learning concepts and principles. Ability to interpret complex concepts and processes and present them in a coherent and effective manner. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to deliver an effective and engaging presentation. Working knowledge of LMS applications. Analytical skills to develop insightful reporting for executive leadership. Ability to understand industry terminology. SAP Success Factors LMS experience a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking. Good organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize while managing a continuous stream of work, ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail, ability to coach team members to achieve their highest potential.
- Typical Physical Demands:
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
